Is It Okay to Pray in Jesus' Name?

Would you please pray for us at the National Center for Life and Liberty as we are working on a very important case in the Fourth Circuit? The issue of this case is whether the Rowan County, NC, County Commission can pray in Jesus' name in its legislative sessions. For more information, please click the video below to hear Attorney Gibbs discuss the case.

Thank you in advance for your prayers and support as we work to defend the constitutional rights of the Rowan County Commissioners. The NCLL Needs Your Help!

The National Center for Life and Liberty is exploding across the nation, and your prayers, friendship, and support make this ministry work possible.

In the last few days, NCLL representatives spoke with the leaders of Congress, helped county officials who were sued by the ACLU for praying, saved the buildings of one church in court, served dozens of ministries with legal matters, conducted leadership seminars for pastors and church leaders, hosted a regional homeschool conference, and helped save lives and serve families in life-and-death situations.

Additionally, we are preaching in churches across America and watching souls come to Christ.  Our radio broadcast, Law Talk Live, is speaking to national audiences each Saturday as we encourage people to know and exercise their rights.  I am excited to serve as the president and general counsel for the NCLL, and I look forward to doing even more for the honor and glory of God in this rapidly expanding ministry outreach.

Here is our problem!  The ministry is growing faster than the finances to support the work.  My wife, Carin, and I have taken this faith step, and we would be extremely grateful for your prayers and financial support.  We are asking the Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of God’s people to support the ministry of the NCLL.

Additionally, if you would encourage your church to also support the NCLL, it would help us continue to serve in the courts, legislatures, media, and pulpits of our nation. The NCLL is a distinct ministry from CLA and receives no funding from them for our work. We are asking you to help us shoulder this huge burden of raising all our own support for this ministry as our team of legal staff works to serve you and our nation. We need your generous support at this time!

Life Saved After Judge's Ruling

We are thrilled that the New York court that heard the recent life-and-death case that we have been litigating ruled in favor of life this past week! After over two weeks of trial, the judge's decision has allowed a person to live. We want to thank each person who took the time to pray for Attorney Gibbs and our legal team as this case was tried. Would you take a moment to consider making a donation to the National Center for Life and Liberty? We are able to travel across the United States to litigate cases like this one because of your support. All donations are tax deductible and will be used so our attorneys can continue to speak the truth in America's courtrooms, legislatures, and media. Without your support, none of this would be possible! If we can ever serve you or your family—please know that our team of attorneys would be honored to serve you.

What Does the Bible Say About Life?

Dear NCLL friend,

Life is under attack in America today. It seems as time goes by,  many Americans are developing a mindset that devalues life more than a mindset that values and respects it. As a matter of fact, a few states have gone so far as to pass legislation that specifically allows physician assisted suicide. In these states, with two doctors’ opinions—a patient can consent to be given a pill that will end her life within three hours’ time. Despite the cultural trends and current debates on life issues, the scripture reminds us that life is extremely valuable and worth fighting for.

Have you ever had a conversation with someone and needed to defend your pro-life position with scripture? As you discuss this important issue, take a look at five key scripture references that teach us the sanctity of life:

Genesis 1:26–28 teaches us that human life is distinct and valuable because it ismade in God’s image and likeness.

John 15:13 contains Jesus’ teaching that the greatest love that can be shown is by  sacrificing a life for the preservation of another life. By implication, this verse teaches that human life is far more valuable than anything else on earth.

Proverbs 24:11–12 conveys the mandate for a man to protect and defend the lives of others.

Genesis 9:5-6 details God’s stringent punishment for the unauthorized of taking of human life.

Matthew 6:26 and 10:29–31 reminds us that human life is far more valuable than animal life.

Buddhist TempleAt NCLL, we are committed to defending and fighting for life in America today. It is our desire to follow Jesus' teaching in Matthew 25:40 by zealously defending and standing for “the least of these.” As we work to achieve this each day, we can’t do it alone and need your prayer and financial support. All donations go directly to NCLL’s mission of advancing and defending life and religious liberty issues in America’s courts, legislatures, and media.
