The Maryland governor and the county executive of Baltimore have put into place new requirements for COVID-19. After reviewing the mandate and confirming with the governor’s office, the orders state that “the total number of persons permitted in a Religious Facility at any one time shall not exceed 75% of that Religious Facility's Maximum Occupancy.”

  • State Executive Order Regarding Religious Facilities. Subject to applicable Local Orders and Secretary's Directives, churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, and other similar religious facilities of any faith in Maryland (''Religious Facilities") may open to the general public, provided, however, that the total number of persons permitted in a Religious Facility at any one time shall not exceed 75% of that Religious Facility's Maximum Occupancy.
  • Baltimore Executive Order Regarding Religious Facilities. Subject to Order No.20-11-10-01 and Maryland Department of Health (MDH) Secretary's Directives, churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, and other similar religious facilities 4 of any faith in Maryland ("Religious Facilities") may open to the general public, provided, however, that the total number of persons permitted in a Religious Facility at any one time shall not exceed 75% of that Religious Facility's Maximum Occupancy.

It is important to note that these new orders do not require any changes for churches except to re-emphasize the mask mandate.
