The Trump administration assured small businesses that if the original $350 billion allocated as part of the Paycheck Protection Program runs out, there will be a “refill” pushed through to access additional funds. Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin also announced that he has spoken with the president and leaders of both parties to request additional funds to ensure all small businesses receive needed funding to survive the economic downturn associated with the coronavirus pandemic.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, in coordination with Senator Marco Rubio and other Republican senators, is pledging to expedite the process this week to release additional monies to the Payroll Protection Program.
