David Gibbs III

President and General Counsel

David C. Gibbs III serves as president and general counsel of the National Center for Life and Liberty (NCLL), a legal ministry that protects the rights of churches and Christian organizations nationwide, with offices in California, Florida, North Carolina, and Texas.

A graduate of Duke University School of Law, Mr. Gibbs speaks regularly at churches and conferences across the country, while also litigating cases as a trial attorney. He has authored five books, including Fighting for Dear Life and Understanding the Constitution.

Jonathan Bailie, MBA, JD

Chief Financial & Operations Officer

Jonathan began his involvement with the National Center for Life and Liberty (NCLL) in 2015, working with Attorney David Gibbs III to assist in the operations and financial management of the newly formed organization (the NCLL formed in 2012). Jonathan’s role was to create and implement initiatives needed to maximize ministry effectiveness and expand reach, stemming from his desire to help the churches the NCLL serves reach their communities for Christ without the encumbrance of legal or financial matters.

His background in finance and marketing assisted in facilitating the growth of organizations in multiple industries, including nonprofit, legal, medical, technology, and broadcast media production over the span of a decade. He served as marketing director for two different Christian ministries and then subsequently as vice president of digital for one of the largest fundraising and nonprofit marketing services agencies in the world. His work with ResourceOne was with rescue missions, nonprofit entities, and religious charities such as Ligonier Ministries, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, WORLD News Group, and Trans World Radio, to name only a few.

After over a decade in marketing and finance, Jonathan developed a passion to assist Attorney Gibbs in building an organization to help thousands of ministries with legal and financial concerns by removing potential threats and obstacles related to the execution of their mission. After working with the NCLL for several years, Jonathan attended Faulkner Law in Montgomery, Alabama, finishing a Juris Doctorate. His JD and MBA give him particular expertise in assisting NCLL partner churches as well as in directing the operations and finances of the NCLL.

Rudy Holland

Ministry Representative

Born in Kenly, North Carolina, in 1946 to Rudolph and Ernestine Holland, Dr. Holland is the older brother of Sandra Edwards and Diane Brown. When he was thirteen, his parents moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, where Dr. Jerry Falwell was his neighbor, pastor, and mentor. On April 1, 1965, Dr. Holland attended a revival led by Lester Roloff at Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, where he accepted Christ and was called to preach.
